Undertaking extracurricular educational activities, field trips, and organized sports can provide benefits that touch on many aspects of a child’s development. Research conducted by the National Center for Education Statistics found that participation in extracurricular activities have a positive correlation to the students’ attendance, GPA, and expected educational goals. But nationally only 24% of low-income youth participate in organized physical activities, and Title One school classes take fewer than one field trip per year. Rair Causes offers a diversity of programs for Youth Development, Family Engagement and Community Outreach. Our directors and volunteers have a shared passion to eliminate the barriers preventing our under-represented youth from reaching their greatest potential in life.
